Charles A. Tonks, 59, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  Charles was born July 24, 1960, the son of Don Summers, later adopted by Herb and Phoebe Bell Tonks.  He is survived by two sons:  Nathan Allan (Katy Marie) Tonks and Nicholas Scott Tonks, one sister: Tammy Tonks, and two grandchildren: Aliza Mae and Atlas Allan Tonks.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mark Tonks.  Charles was employed at Porta High School as a custodian.
