Comments:

While neither Margaret or I graduated in Havana, all you old originals remember that we both grew up here. I reluctantly moved away to Peoria half way through 8th grade and Margaret moved during her freshman year to Galesburg. Margaret was getting busy with Kent Siltman in the summer of 78 when I paid her a visit, dropping in (unannounced). Blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada, and 38 years later, we are still chasing each other around, sometimes with a weapon, sometimes not.

School Story:

Me-Born in Havana, went to Rockwell school, New Central, then graduated Peoria High School(Central). I then took a semester at ICC in East Peoria.

I've tried hunting, golf, bowling, and fishing, I suck at all of them. So instead of trying to improve my skills at these endeavors, I scrapped them all. I found my love in life. In addition to Margaret, travel is what I love. Another love of mine is trains. The picture above is an example of that love. This pic is of the worlds largest steam locomotive that had recently undergone a restoration. This locomotive, Big Boy, is one of only 25 built. In 2019 it set out on its inaugural run between Cheyenne Wyoming and Ogden Utah. My dear friend Steve and I chased it from Evanston WY to Ogden. This was for the sesquicentennial celebration of the driving of the golden spike at Promontory in northern Utah on May 10, 1869. Besides all this history, Margaret and I have taken trains from coast to coast to coast. We take sleeper cars. Another love of mine is of music, jazz and blues in particular. For six straight years I traveled, by train, to New Orleans where I went to Jazzfest. Jazzfest changed my life. The music, the culture, and the incredible cajun food, WOW! I told myself that I'm going to go to Jazzfest every year until I was no longer able. And then covid hit. What a shit show covid is! Jazzfest cancelled not one, but two years in a row, so far! To end this post, I proudly admit that I am a Trump supporting conservative.
